Ok I had these cool wiper covers on my 95 Camaro http://members.aol.com/camaross97hms/waxoff.jpeg
My Trans Am and my Brothers Camaro dosent have them.
Was that jst a 93-97 Thing?
I really like them and wanna put them on my TA.
Is it posible? Do they just snap over the wiper arms?

are you talking about the wiper or the arm? if you are talkin about the wiper, they are just replaceables from walmart or napa. and if you are talking about the arm, i dont know what you are talking about, mine looks just like that and it came stock. i have a 97Z
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that the arms are not like that for looks. With the angle of our windshields, the wind causes a downward thrust on the arm to keep it to the windshield at higher speeds; otherwise, the wiper would hardly touch the windshield. So, if someone does not have arms like that, someone had to have removed and replaced. Not a good idea in my opinion. Like I said, I may be wrong, it won't be the first time and definately won't be the last time.

Your Wrong

I have yet to see an LS1 (98+)f body With them on
Yep. In 1998 GM changed over to a "low profile" wiper arm. The smaller arm makes for less distraction to the driver when the windshield washers are in use.
Personally I think the ones on my '97 TA (like those above) look better than the "new and improved" design (and I can't ever remember being distracted by my windshield wipers
)
I don't think high speeds have anything to do with it since the arm turns sideways during it's sweep and wouldn't be consistant... plus the fact that you already need spring pressure to keep them plated at a dead stop... more so than at speed when its just an added bonus. Spring pressure keeps them planted just fine (faster cars than the Fbodies have "normal" wipers and work ok
).
I'd wager it was more for styling since the wiper assemly is more prominent in the LT1-era cars than in the later LS1-era cars that have a slightly higher hood line.
Just a guess though.

So if I want them I need to replace the entire arm?
Or can I jsut snap the plastic thing on top of mine?

Now I will carry on with life until I am wrong again about something else.
