No offense to anyone who likes them...

I mean...I like them too...

But...

I think some people get "bowtie happy" with their cars far too much. I have been to car shows where everything had a damn bowtie on it. It gets overdone.

I remember when Nike was putting their swoosh logo on each shoe like...5-6 times per shoe. One on the left side, one on the right side, one on the toe, one on the tongue, one to two on the heel, one to two ont he sole...

For a while, I couldn't buy a new pair of shoes because it was retarded looking.

That's just me and how I think about it. To me, a few is cool, a bunch is okay, and too many is...too many. No offense to anyone who like to put lots of bowties on their car.

 

I agree with you JasonD. LOL I remmeber when Nike did that. But even more stupid is when people put the NIke logo on the back window of an F-body!

 

I saw a Maxima with the air jordon logo (airborne guy dunking) on the rear & side window

 

Hye man. Look out. Those Nike and Air Jordan graphics add like 75HP! Screw the juice all I need is a big nike sign on my window and POOF....11 Second V6!

Bowtie=enough on my car factory. Its like putting "CHEVY" or "CAMARO" on your windows. If you didn't know it was that car then please don't add stickers that advertise it. hahaha

same goes for the bowtie gauges.

I would like to find gauges and be able to print on quality glossy print paper whatever the heck I want. I'm still coming up with a design to use as the background. Maybe that little sherman guy pissing on a Ford? That would be pretty sweet if I had gauges on the pillar. hahahaha!

I have grown up around Chevy's and I am sure that I will continue to be a Chevy supporter for the rest of my life...but I don't need bowties on everything.

Same thing with these guys who like fords. I think the worst is rear window decals. I passed a late 80's early 90's Mustang the other day...and like I didn't know what it was it had some big pony on the rear window, and I mean big. I'm also reminded of a Prelude I saw last summer with a big "V-TECH" written on the back window.

Suttle is good. It's a Chevy...let that be known...but not exploded.

Well, for those of you who do like it, Pace performance sells them, I noticed them in the new catalogue they sent me. I wouldn't mind putting the tach on the firewall, along with a few others. I think it would look kinda good, and since you have to have the hood up to see them it wouldn't be bowtie overkill. Just a thought.

 

They look good and I wouldn’t knock anyone who had them, but I'm not big on bowtie advertising either. Honestly, I'm proud that my car is a Camaro, but I don’t really care that it’s a Chevy. I'd be just as happy with my Camaro if it were made by Pontiac side by side with the firehawks. I'm more likely to get gauges that say "SS" than a bowtie. Just an opinion.
