As the owner of 2 white top cars, and someone who cant stay clean, I am getting a great deal on a black top with frame included, therefore i plan to hold off on replacing material for now, and doing a complete frame with material attached, with a black top. As one has white interior as well as top, but one has white top, black interior. And I see below where someone mentions somebody else doing that. plus it gives me a spare frame. I am going with a black top for now, as very few, if any, white tops become available. I appreciate your post, and will follow it when I get the money. The car with the immediate need for a top, was dented in both rear quarters when I got it, and 4 years later, a lady pulled out in front of me and totaled the front end. Of course I bought it back though, as it could drive away from the scene. My question is, what are your thoughts after replacing top material, vs replacing frame with material attached? Anybody done that and care to comment? Or what are your thoughts. I can get whole frame and top for $100, and my time to remove it. Any threads anybody has found on doing that? Or advice?

G. McDonald:. Have you got any information on the procedure of installing the top and frame together? If you, or anyone does have comments on that, I would be interested in hearing them. Thanks
