Question Console upgrade??

Anyone change their 93-97 T/A console out for a 98 and up console? I heard they fit, but I dunno how many adjustments are needed. I can't find a 93-97 console anywhere, but I've found a few 98 and ups. Anyone made the switch? Preferably M6 folks. If so, what is the process? How does it fit? How does it look? Blah, blah, blah. TIA. BTW, who thinks I should just wait and find a 93-97 console or do you think the 98 and up looks better?

I think you should definitely go with a 97 and up console. They look much better than the previous ones.

there is about a 3inch gap where the old CD holder on the 93-96 console was.

Looks better, less rattles... But u can tell at the very front it doesnt belong on the car if u look underneath where the radio is..

I still did it.. and i like it.

Well I'd rather not be able to tell that it was done. I don't want a gap there or anything. Do you have any pics of it? I would like to see how it looks.

The gap only occurs on Camaros if you do the console change.

You can put a 97+ console into a 93-96 Firebird/Trans Am and it will look completely stock.

If you find multiple hook me up with one, I might be doing a 6-speed swap here pretty soon.
