I'm looking for a pic of a concept car built around '85-87. The car was built by Chevrolet and was powered by a turbo 4.3 v6. A guy near here has a fiberglass body kit that supposedly came off this car. I can buy this kit (front bumper/spoiler, side skirts,rear bumper, rear spoiler and a hood), for a reasonable price. These parts are painted dark purple met. The hood is like an Iroc but the vents are made into it and are open. The bumpers/side skirts start at the body line at the middle of the car. The kit also has wheel flairs. The rear spoiler is kinda like a Trans am GTA. I would like to get as much info on this car as i can, and I am thinking of putting this kit on my convertable. Any help would be great and I will try to get some pics up soon to help id this stuff. I did find a pic of a 1985 Camaro GTZ concept that was pretty close. Thanks of the help.

Those were not the one I was looking for but thank you for the information. This was a rebody third generation concept car. was never marketed. The pic I have found of the GTZ was white but was possiblly painted purple. thanks black iroc

 

If I am not mistaken the car you are talking about was featured in road&track or car& driver.The issue was back in the mid to late 80s.It had the gfxs you are discribing and a custom front fasia with a split front spoiler for the intercooler.I have been looking for pics of that car for years now

Hollysh!t A guy around the corner cousin has the kit on a unfinished 86iroc.He has been selling it for awhile don't know if he still has it but it was around 6000 with a 6spd and a 300hp crate motor.
