Is cold weather bad for fresh paint jobs?

I JUST had my car repainted and the guy who painted it left it outside for like 3 days right after he painted it (it got down to probably ATLEAST -10 at night). I was just wondering if that cold weather was bad for the paint job, becuase I paid him good money and I was REALLY pissed when I saw it outside.
