Exclamation cold air intake and ss hood?

I have a 99 z28. I installed a cold air intake in it last year, and now I want to get an SS hood. It is a K&N 57 Series Fipk Generation 2 Cold Air Intake - Chevrolet Camaro 1999-2002.

Will my intake still fit and/or work with the SS hood?

My car:

Under my hood

Yes, it fits well. I have it only because I got it for $50 and my stock lid and base and then also resold my aftermarket lid for $50. I actually like it better than the aftermarket lid set up because the filter stays clean longer.

im thinking of getting an ss hood myself(functional). R these fiber glass hoods from ebay any good? the price always gets me, under 300 not including shipping sounds good to me. any opinions on these hoods. Hey greed does your hood paint job have a name or is that just something you ask for specific. ive seen it on other ss hoods as well, and i want to get it!!

I'd be leary of cheap hoods. There is one aftermarket SS hood that sits taller that I thought about getting, but it was open in the back so I stuck with the stock one. If I had a Z28, I'd personally go w/a Sonoco type cowl induction or UltraZ hood with some vintage Z/28 badging. I'd want to put my money into standing out from SS's instead of looking like us.

My stripe is also on the back hatch/spoiler. I've seen it called a Manta stripe. I just took in a picture in of what I wanted and the guy painted it. If you want to do the same, let me know and I can hook you up with some shots.

Sounds good.....should I also do the "Ram Air" Free Mod (aka airbox cutout) for now, even if I plan on adding a CAI in the near future ???? Or should i just get like an SLP lid or do both????

Save your $ if you are set on the FIPK or Volant.

Personnally, I wouldn't pay anywhere near the full price for the FIPK or Volant since a lid does so well for much less. Its $ better spent elsewhere IMO.
