You might wanna give it more than a hour
The unspoken code is a day wait
But anyway is there any room to stick some screws in the valance or if you don't wanna do that go buy some new double sided tape

If you want the piece to come loose use the tape, but if you want it to stick rock hard forever then use Epoxy. Epoxy is glue that you can put on the tape and it holds great. You can keep the tape on but epoxy the back and some on both sides. If at all possible prop something underneath the parts you epoxy to ensure a good hold.
