cleaning painted calipers

So my calipers are painted from the previous owner and they look good. Only problem is the front left tire gets more brake dust than I have ever seen. Want to put on my caliper decals but need brake dust-free calipers first. I bought some brake clean and used a clean rag, noticed the paint started to come off and became very tacky....I really made sure there was enough cleaner and blasted the hell out of the caliper. My question is, how do I get all, and I really mean all of my brake dust off my caliper? I am getting this thing all cleaned up for a show and also putting on my new fuel rail covers!
