Cheap Appearance Mod!!

This is an oil cap off of a corvette. It fit my 01 ss. It looks really cool, especially if you use mobil one oil. They are available at the dealership, I think I paid right around $4, but I got my employee discount. They sell on ebay, but I am sure they are cheaper through the dealership. Everyone may know about this, but I have not seen any posts, so I thought I would start one. Here is the link to one on ebay, which includes a pic.

I noticed they're not for the LT1's, but do you happen to have the part number handy for the LS1 guys?

I looked for the part # everywhere and cannot find it, but if you want one just tell them you would like the oil cap of the new vettes and that should be it. If someone goes and buys one please post the part # up here for everyone.

Hey guys, I have that part and I still have the box with the PN too! It is at home though but I'll have it up tonight (late LATE tonight).

Check back tommarow...I'll have the PN.

You can get it for dirt cheap at gmpartsdirect but I don't know about shipping. Might be better to just go to the dealership.

Great looking cap and sticker. I use Mobil 1 in my 02 firehawk and someone told me that mobil 1 burns a little quicker than other synthetic oils. I don't care, I'm ordering them.

Sorry, but that is the dumbest looking cap I've seen (no offense). But, I personally don't need to be reminded everytime to use Mobil 1 5W-30. Geez wake up. If you don't know what kind of oil and type of oil to use go drive a Honda or something. Sorry just my.02

I'm thinking its more for looks...it looks better than the stocker....don't really think anyone is buying it to "remember" which grade of oil to use...

Some like it...some don't...personal preference....but then again, it's JUST an oil cap...

I don't think that anyone said that they forget what kind of oil they use, I just suggested because I think it looks better than the stock, that is my preference. If you don't like it I guess you won't go buy it.
