I converted my whole interior to black and I need to change the shifter to black as well. I have the normal gray t-bar shifter right now and I like the black vertical shifter that the 82-84? firebird forumulas had. I can't find it anywhere, but what are my options for other shifters? Will the camaro's fit?

 

C5 shift ***** also fit That's what I got on mine

Interchangable with each other or interchangable with a 3rd gen (which is what I have).

 

I believe 82-02 auto shift ***** are all the same as long as you have a staple in front anyway.

I'll post pics of the c5 **** tonight, but it looks like a regular top button just shorter

I was curious, could I switch shift ***** from my 96 impala to the 01 camaro and vice versa? The wife likes the T-bar better? If so is there any modifying I need to do?

One more question, will the e brake handle of a camaro fit a firebird? They look slightly different.

 

Here's a side by side my stock shifter and console vs. new stuff.
But the stock one has the stiching up the middle and the C5 is shorter and the stiching goes around the fron and down the side. It'll look better when I get the auto shift boot.

The ebrake I dunno the handle itself doesn't come off easily on my 95 no telling though lemme see a pic of a 3rd gen handle like yours and I could probably tell ya.
