Ok well...I broke the lid on my center console yesterday, and in a matter in which I just can't replace the lid...I would need a whole new console. I drive a 94 Z28, and was wondering if a console from a later year would work, like a 98-02, or basically any other year that had a better console.

 

yes i beleive you can switch it out for a 93-02

I just put a center console from a 2000 into my 94. It fits with some minor customization. You will also have to get rid of the tape holder/cigarette lighter piece, as it will not fit.

 

So the shifter and e-brake lever will fit with no problems, and all fasteners will go into place? What kind of modifications would I need to make. yeah I figured I would have to remove the tape/lighter part, but because there will be a bigger gap there I guess I could use that area for something...possibly gauges? any other idea?
