hey all,

trying to replace center console with a piece that has 1st gear selection.......how do i get the shift **** off the stick in order to remove the center piece and is there an easy way to get the stop removed that prohibits 1st gear selection....this is a 1995 A4 btw. thanks in advance.

 

It seems to help a little too if you hold down the button when you pull up on the **** - makes it come off a little easier I think. There is a pretty simple solution to the selector stop thing - there is something that describes it on the board here somewhere - I just can't remember where. Maybe search for it in LT1 tech?
