I notice a hole in my carpet to the right of my gas pedal. My hawk is under warrantee, do you think they will fix it? I looked at a new vet and noticed they had a protective leather patch where my hole is. I obviously rub my foot there everytime I hit the gas pedal. I don't do it anymore but the damage has been done. GM must know of the problem with the new leather patch on the vet. I want new carpet or I'll have to patch it myself. I'm pissed, less than 10,000 miles on my 02 hawk.

Why don't you have floor matts

 

I do put its right up to the right of the pedal were I would try and rest my foot on the carpet and mash the pedal at the same time, I'll take a pic and post it

 

I do have floor mats, nice firehawk ones from SLP. But floor mats don't cover my hole which is on the side of the hump to the right of the gas pedal. My foot wore a hole through the carpet from punching the gas pedal. I'm just curious if anyone had warranty cover this so to speak before I go rant at the dealership.

 

Although it may have warranted putting a leather patch in the Vettes, honestly I think they will chalk it up to wear and tear and not something due to workmanship. I wish you luck.
