Can someone please explain on how to enable abs with 98+ SS SPoiler?
I found this after a quick search
quote from earlier post
"Just wanted to let you guys know, I installed a WW 98+ SS spoiler on my 96Z using a resistor instead of a relay (and yes the spoiler fit is horrid--I'm working on that). As far as I know, everyone has used a relay to avoid the infamous ABS inop and ASR inop lights. If you don't like the click from a relay, all you have to do is connect a 10 ohm resistor in series with the brake light. This allows the ABS to have some feedback, but there is still enough voltage for the LED's to work in the brake light. I've had the resistor in for about 200 miles now and have received no lights. Hope you guys find this useful!" end of quote
According to this gentleman you just need a 10 ohm resistor from Radio Shack and wire it in series with the new tail light and you'll be good to go. I was going to go the relay method where you basically wire the tail light in parallel circuit with the relay coil to add the needed resistance to make you computor happy. E-mail me and I"ll make you up a drawing/schematic if you need.

being OBDII I didin't need ANYTHING at all. I got no trouble codes on MY car. I cut the instructions for the resistor installation out of a previous post I found in a search. The resistor goes "in series" with 1 wire feeding the tailight assembly. You will have to unplug the stock wires when you take off the stock spoiler. Just cut off the plug and solder the wire in 1 leg.

OK picture the 2 wires coming from both the spoiler, and the 2 wires coming from the hatch.
Twist ONE each of the wires from the spoiler & car together and then add the resistor BETWEEN the other 2 remaining spoiler & car wires.
I sent you an e-mail with a picture

ME TOO!
hey Jetman...will you send me a picture too? iamsparc@yahoo.com
Also...do you know how the relay method works?
Thanks,
Mike

I did that... and it doesn't work...
Anyways.. I know what paralell and series circuits are.. the problem is that I think I need a bigger resistance.. I tried to measure the resistance in my old spoiler and i couldn't get an accurate reading.. I always got an ondulated reading.. maybe i need to change batts or something.

I have ABS!!! I DID IT
Here is the gig.. as said to me by JETMAN95Z28 over at email...
1) Disconnect the brake light from the connector to the hatch.
2) CUT the wires from the spoiler to the connector...
3) put them together by twisting them and install an electrical spade that fits the relay. Do that on all 4 wires.
4) connect the relay on the 85 and 86 ports... those automotive relays are sold on radio shack..
