Can roof be painted? Or have to replace?

Hey guys,
I just had some body work done at a body shop that did a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE job. I gave up fighting with them for the things that still need to be repaired and am getting it done myself. Its been going on since July 2003 (long story).

My car is white with a black top. The top has scratches and burn marks from buffing. My question is can the roof be repainted black? Or is it molded plastic that’s black already and I have to just replace it?

I see Camaros every day with body a body-colored roof. It just makes me think it can be painted.

I appreciate any help!

Chris,

Sure it can be painted - mine car was COMPLETELY repainted to factory colors, and it looks beautiful (click on link in sig). The top is painted from the factory, and any decent body shop will make it look better than new with no problems in the future.

if you decide to replace the rear roof section, i have 2 brand new ones available.
of course they will need to be painted, they are in the factory GM gel coat.
$150 + shipping

If they need to be painted, then obviously I will just paint the one thats on the car. I'll check about getting it painted.
Thanks for the help! What would I do without CamaroZ28.com??
