camaro/firebird question

this is just out of curiousity and I have no desire to do this whatsoever but, could you turn a camaro into a firebird by changing all of the exterior panels? hood,fenders, front end and what not

I think so, the platform that the cars are built on are the same, so that should work

Sure you don't want to build a Cheviac Transmaro?

A google search has turned up some people doing such things. I remember there was a 4th gen Camaro that was chopped in the rear to mimic an El Camino, that was actually pretty cool.
