Camaro/Firebird interior interchangability

Ok, I know that you can't mix and match anything besides the center consoles. But say I got an entire interior from a 2002 T/A, will it all bolt up to my 94' Z?

I heard that it basically is, except you have to change the gauge plug-ins.

There are quite a few people who have done an entire interior swap. I have Pontiac door panels in mine, and kept the Camaro dash, but it can be done. Expect to do some modification to get everything right though.

Everything bolts right up except the door panels and the gauge cluster plug like you said. The mounting points for the T/A door panels are different. So you'd have to make new mounting points. Also, the plug and wiring for the power mirrors are different. You'd need the plug off the T/A for it to work. You'd also have to wire it. You'll need the T/A gauge cluster plug and have to remove the wiring from your 94 plug and place it into the corresponding spots on the T/A plug. I did a 2000 Z28 dash swap and T/A interior swap and it's not that difficult. Just a little time consuming.

Do you have to swap the plug if you just go to a 98-2002 Z28 dash? I heard that when you swap the plug and change the dash to the T/A, the gas and tach don't work correctly and it can't be fixed.

Sorry, forgot to mention that I used a 95 T/A gauge cluster in my 2000 Z28 dash. You could use a gauge cluster from a 93-97 T/A or one from a 97 Z28. They will all fit. Anything older than 97 will have the digital odometer and some of the gauges won't work like you said. I couldn't find 97 gauges on ebay so I ended up with one from a 95 T/A. If you use the 97 Z28 gauges, you'll still need to change the plug.

So, I suppose I can just use my existing 94 Camaro cluster with whatever I use, whether it's a 97-up Camaro or a T/A?

Also, will my existing door panels look good/fit with the newer dash? If they work I'll just keep my door panels and gauge cluster and change to a 97 T/A everything else.

Thanks for all this help, by the way.

no the cluster changed in the Camaros for 97+ you would have to use the T/A Cluster or the 97+ Camaro cluster the newer clusters are shaped different

So basically I'll have to just use a 97-up dash and a 93-96 cluster or else it will be a pain in the butt.

no you will need the 93-96 dash to use yer custer 97+ clusters were shaped different then the older style so if you want 97+ interior or the T/A interior you would have to change the cluster
