did you use like spray can paint? i was planning on using a gun to put some base urethane on them and then clear over that, i would think that would be a good hard finish.

i thought its that it can withstand temps up to 400*, hence the purpose of using it on engines

I know black wheels are the going thing, but nothing beats chrome.

Looks absolutely amazing, great job Your car looks way better now, the rims give it a real sinister look. I personally love the Z06's, I want them for my car just like you have yours or in all black, (leaning heavily towards the all black)...Of course nobody makes them either way, except w/ those gaudy lookin' rivets so I may be undertaking a similar project in the not-to-distant future.

Damn!!! Now you got me all confused as to what I want to do with my car...

I now have the stock chrome 5-spokes, but I've been planning to get chrome Z06's once the tires are gone. I think chrome wheels on a dark car are the one and only choice.

However..., now that you showed those pics, I'm not so sure anymore...

One advantage of the black wheels is that they are actually much cheaper to buy, too. Hmmm...

I like both but, if it's on a black car, it's gott be chrome. Just IMO though.
