burnt fiber glass hood... repairable?

I had a problem with a fire on my car and I want to know if the hood is repairable or not...

I took it to a shop and after sanding down the paint they said that the fiber glass has some sort of bubbles and told me that if they sound or fix with resin the paint will bubble up on there...

LMK what you guys think.. I have no pics right now...

I'll post some pics... it was burnt, wasnt that ugly.. there where no cracks .. the underhood wasn't that bad, but just wanted to get opinions... will take it to a better shop this time... if its not worth it I might go with the SMC.

Fiberglass is one of the easiest materials to repair. There are plenty of books on the subject. GET OFF THE WEB AND READ SOMETHING!!!
