A couple questions about Emblem tape?

I got my 69' z/28 style emblems today and was wondering if 3m emblem tape could hold them up because they are pretty heavy metal? Also where can i buy emblem tape or any other type of tape or glue i can use to put them on?

Which type of 3M tape?? the grey with the red backing?

if it's that stuff you'll be fine. Clean both the emblem and your car with prepsol/alcohol to remove all the wax, oil, etc. Then apply the tape to the emblem and use a hairdryer or hot air gun and heat up the tape until it just starts to pull away from the tape. Once that happens pull the red backing off and apply it where you want it... the 1st time.. it's not comming off very easially if you do it correctly.

This is how my brother who does bodywork (20+ yrs experience) does his emblems/side mouldings/etc.

If that doesn't work go to the local body-shop supply store and pick up some 3M emblem adhesive.. but that's going to be $$ and will be HELL to get off...
