It must be a pretty crappy shop if they did that. Tell them to fix it or just go to a decent shop and get it done right. There should be no bubbles at all when they are done.

definetly have them redo it to get the bubbles out. the back window has compound curves and is very hard to tint, most places will use strips of tint on the rear unless they apply the spray on tint...the lines you may have to live with but the bubbles shouldnt be there at all. that was the reason they needed to use the strips in the first place

I got my rear window tinted in one piece. If he used multiple pieces... he fooled me because I can't see or feel a seam line. Across the top rear he didn't tint... he put black vinyl and it looks great. Zero bubbles and I didn't even notice until weeks later when I was cleaning back there. It's just black, not see through but you don't use that area for driving at all cuz I didn't miss looking through that portion of glass at all.

I had a shop try that crap with me, so I had a stop payment put on the check. Then called the BBB. Then took my car to another shop.

Some shops spray paint the dot matrix, others use the black vinyl, but a really great shop can tint it right!

IMO, the shop should have been honest and told you they could'nt the dot matrix right and offered you a option of vinyl a paint, or recommended another shop.

When I had my V6 tinted the guy did it in 2 pieces and had them join exactly on the defroster line. You couldnt even tell it was 2 pieces, I was amazed.
