brands for blacking out taillights

i found that GTS isn't compatible with a 97 formula, so i was wondering which brands that are good quality, and cheap in prive will provide me with almost the same blackout as the GTS.

I have the AVS ones from Summit. They are nice because they will stay on without having to put anything on the lights (like velcro or double-sided tape). There are pics on my website.

I think they'd look perfect on your Formula. You have the black filler panel which would really complete the look.

Yeah, in certain light, the covers are a little "gray" looking, but it's not enough to concern me. They look so nice the rest of the time! I bought them over the others because they don't need to be fastened down. I didn't want to do anything permanent to my tail lights.

Thanks for the compliments, your car is looking pretty sweet too! Good luck!

I have no idea either! I've been wondering that since I first got the car. I bought some rubbing and polishing compound to use to try to get it off, but I haven't done it yet. It's really strange though.

I also ordered the Nightshades spray from Summit in order to blackout my turn signals and rear red markers, but haven't had the guts to do it yet. You might consider that as well.

that i might think about, but the laws out here are insane with that, i just moved to va from IL and the laws here SUCK!!

i got a ticket for not having my front license plate on, but i brought that to court *among other stupid tickets* and got them all dropped.

i also want clearer, brighter headlights.

BTW: if you buy the avs tail light covers, do they come in packs of 2, or a single one???? cause if they are only 40 bucks for 2 hell im buyin them tonight!

Yeah, $40 for 2! That's what I thought too, they're pretty cheap!
