Arrow Bought 97+ console -- need info on bracket under dash...

I just bought a 97 console to put in my 94 Camaro. I pulled off old console and it looks like I need a different mounting bracket (the one under the dash). Do I really need a new one? or is there some way I can bolt the console up to the old one? How have others done this in past? Anything else I can use as a bracket? I really don't wanna wait another few months to find the part I need, like I did for the console. Get back to me. Thanks.

The front of my console is not bolted down at all. I am fabbing a plate to bolt it into the original spot, and making a piece out of Polystyrene sheets to place in the gap. But you can put it in without bolting it down. The newer consoles rattle soooo much less than the older ones. Even without the front built into it.

There is a bracket that the 97 up console mounts to in front, you just need to get it off the car the console came off of. But most guys leave it unattached.
