Boring 93

My LT1 looks kinda average, clean, WS6 wheels, honey comb lights and a borla, just like every other 4th gen. I like clean and subtle but still good looking, my car is just kinda clean and boring. Give me some ideas here, was thinking maybe a nice cowl to kinda set it off a little but not look gawdy. Lemme know your ideas, I just hate how its so cookie cutter looking.

Honestly, I hate cowl hoods on 4th gen T/A's. Maybe a WS6 hood? Or a ls1 style WS6 hood for an LT1? I really don't know much that there is to do to the exterior of the LT1 Trans Am to really make it "stand out" There are things on the Camaros, like SS hood with the scoop painted black. I love that. But I really don't know what there is for T/A's. The car looks good BTW.

Since you already have the stock look, keep it that way with an Lt1 WS6 hood. Car looks great already, GM designed them well the first time. Get some clear corners and some rear fill ins from brent franker. Then step back and admire

I'd do a LT1 WS.6 hood and call it a day. Maybe some Black ZR1s.

WS-6 hood and black out your front marker lights. Chrome wheels too...we haven't seen any AR rebels on a T/A yet, so get those. They look badass on Camaros so I'm sure they'd look good on your car.

I think black z06's with a chrome lip would leak sweet.

FWIW, They also make that big block hood and cowl hoods for your cars if you want it unique. I'd keep it subtle with a factory part.

Maybe a ttop conversion?

You got a nice looking car as is. I think some sort of black rim would look great against your red exterior and I agree with the others, a WS6 hood will enhance things as well.

The best hood for your car IMO, would be the WS6 hood. Past that there isn't a ton else you could do. I know there are clear and tinted turn signals you can get, as well as different headlamp setups. The biggest appearence thing you could do to your car, would be the wheels. I like the ones you have, but if you want to change it up, changing the wheels and lowering it a little might do the trick.

Not enough? You can always swap out panels and go for the LS1 style on your bird. Or you can always paint the car a custom color, although both of these options would cost a LOT of $.

Check the recent posts on "Wheels and Tire" regarding the Torque Thrust M in the "Anthracid" finish.... they would look great on your car.

Another vote for the WS hood, as well.

Thanks guys, I grew up liking custom hot rods so I like things simple and clean. I like the 98+ front clips more than the 93-97 but around here you dont see many clean LT1 any more, kinda want to keep that going. Thanks for the comments!

I would do the CETA mod and put on some black wheels, black or smoked turn signals, some Meg's exhaust tips...I don't know how others feel about it but I like this hood: Yes, it's a bit on the extreme side but if you're looking to get something other than the normal WS6 hood it's one of the only options that looks even decent...On the topic of cowl hoods, I've never seen one on a TA that I thought looked good... Personally I like the LT1 taillights better but the LS1 style look good as well...I think all those things would make it stand out more but then again if you do nothing to it, it's still a great looking car
