Body Work Question

Yesterday afternoon my '94 Z28 got a tad bit too cozy with the rear wheel metal fender cover (I think that's what it's called) of a U-Haul box trailer. I now have miscellaneous scratches on my front bumper and about an inch-long cut in the passenger front fender where it meets the bumper. Anybody had any experience with repairing this type of damage, cost, etc.? Thanks!

unless you are experienced with body work, i would say you should take it to a body shop and get an estimate

definatly take it to a good shop. Not a macco. I had some damage to my rear quarter panel. after the shop had it the curve was smother around the wheel well then when gm made it. The cost will depend on the quality of the shop and their work. to repari the 3 inch dent in the rear quarter panel cost 1,700 bucks. Luckily i wasnt paying for the repair.

Thanks, guys! I was planning to take it to a shop for the repair, but thought that maybe I could avoid making a claim against my insurance policy if the cost might come in under $500.00. I, too, had someone run into my driver's side rear bumper and rear quarter panel ... $1,400.00 worth of damage. I'm just afraid that since this involves the plastic composite stuff that they will say I need a whole new front fender! If so, it just might stay that way!
