black wheels?

Have a red 96Z w/ a black top. Thought that black wheels might accent the top. Anybody running w/ a setup like this? Pictures? Having trouble finding black wheels, even on-line. Don't want to paint the salad shooters. Would also like to step up to 17X9. Thanks guys.

I have a couple pics. They are black Zr1s that I had powdercoated.

I saw a thread on here the other day where a guy painted his 17" OZ rims with graphite-colored duplicolor rattle can. Maybe you can find some fair condition LS-1 take-offs and paint them, for a cheaper solution.

JamesZ24, how much did it cost to powdercoat your rims? I'm thinking about getting some ROH Zr-6s (they look like the stock wheels on B-body Impala SS) and having the center powdercoated for my black 94Z

Ok, well how's this? I have a red Z with a black top and I'm running 17X9.5 black Y2k C5 wheels (with a polished lip). Oh and yes it does accent the top nicely and I get compliments all the time.

Btw, my wife and I painted them but they are starting to chip pretty bad now (we did them back in December). I'm going to get them powdercoated and the lip machined sometime soon. Pics in sig.

What did you use to paint them? Just curious if it was the same stuff as the other guy used to paint his rims. He used Dulpi-color on his wheels. I want to do the same, but I don't want to if it won't last very long.

It cost me $200, but I had the whole wheel done, nothing was masked off or polished, that may make the price go up.

I hade some Dupli-color flat black high temp engine enamel and Dupli-color clear high temp engine enamel laying around that I used. Maybe that's part of the problem. I'm trying to decide if I should get my wheels professionally repainted or if I should go the more expensive powdercoating route. Anybody have any thoughts on this?
