black interior is almost done....pics to follow....
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know how the project is coming along. I decided to repaint my entire interior black. It used to be graphite, and when compared to the new color, looked almost bluish gray. Anyway, everything is painted, except for a few parts that still need a couple more coats of clear. This was more expensive than I thought it would be. I believe I have spent just over $100. I will break down the cost for anyone that would like to do the same thing, as there was a lot of interest before.
I used a good flexible vinyl/plastic paint, which cost about $9 a can. I used 8 cans of this. I can't remember the brand, but I will post it when I do. I also used one can of low luster clear of this same brand, for the flexible parts like the arm rests, and the dash pad, since I dodn't want to use the real shinny clear on it due to reflection in the sun.
Oh, I still needed to do the center console and a few other small pieces after that, so I used a basic black spray paint, and it looks the same as the expensive stuff.
For the rest of the interior, I used Duplicolor Truck/Van/SUV clear, or something like that. I used 8 cans of this also. So basically, I used 10 cans of black, and 9 cans of clear.
I guess that brings the total to about $135, but so far it is definately worth it. I am waiting on my dynomat so I can install that, than the new black carpet and interior is going in.

There is a company that does tons of business on ebay, and they sell lots of carpet. It was $214 + 19shipping, but I guess they overlooked me, and sent it without payment

Nope, they don't have any real black interiors for these cars. This will hopefully be the first one ever
Once I get my gauges, I am going to put the dash back in. It looks way better than th factory color. I really am surprised so far.

If someone will host the pics, I will send them. I only have shots of stuff outside the car, but I do have a couple graphite pieces left for comparison. JLMK
