I think most people agree that you should use black... of some sort, so just as a little re-enforcement, I'd like to show you what happens when people start messing with a good body design
This is called the "slippery slope" (because once you start sliding, you just keep going faster down the hill)
Step 1: messing around with a good thing
Step 2: realizing your previous mistake looks like crap, so you try some other things
Step 3: rock bottom; other Camaro enthusiasts snub you and your riced out car, and out of embarassment, you remove your Camaro nose emblem
It's all true! Be careful!

Damn, if I ever did that to my car, my brother-in-law and my dad would both kill me. And I'd deserve it, too.
Re: Black around the headlights
Maybe I should have made a note about those cars not being the same car. I was just trying to make an example, but it DOES sound/look like the car started out as a '97 30th anni SS and ended up as a blue riced out Camaro because of the way I typed it. So for every one about to point out those aren't the same car, I already said it
. Those are just 3 different cars I found on ebay that were done in bad taste.
Car #1: No black on the front end? Orange nose decal instead of emblem? What was this owner thinking?
Car #2: Billet grill = car has braces, cowl induction hood = skateboard ramp, Altezza lights = oh god, what a mistake, no "eyeshadow" = girl without makeup.
Car #3: Wow, so many mistakes. The hood looks like an upgraded hood more suitable and attractive on a new Grand Prix. The blue wipers are overkill as well are the blue headlight covers; I really don't know why anyone would want to make their Camaro look like an Acura Integra. The super style spoiler has always been ugly except from about 3 angles, all other 357 angles look ridiculous and mismatched. Againt, there is another billet grill making the front end look like it is capable of cooking hotdogs and burgers
. And those have to be the worst looking, most ridiculous waste of money wheels money can buy. I don't have much to say about the ground effects; I've never been into ground effects on Camaros since I love the narrow nose, so I'm going to have to say they look bad as well. ... ... Oh, and clear corners only look good on black cars.

Re: Black around the headlights
Agreed 100% with everything you said. And no, I didn't think those three were the same car. When I said I'd be killed if I ever did that to my car, I was mostly referring to the horrendous blue example you included.
I love that quote! You're absolutely right.....when they're painted body color it does look like it's missing something......just like a chick without any makeup.
no "eyeshadow" = girl without makeup.
