Billet fuel door - Have a question...

OK - I have done a search and found a link for the install instruction instructions for the eclipse fuel door install on the f-bodys.

The PROBLEM is - it doesn't work anymore....Does someone have another link to the old site? or can someone that's done it just tell me what I have to modify to make it work?

Thanks

Paul

just did this...easy as can be. Get yourself the fuel door, some fender washers that fit the screws, drill out the 4 rivets holding on the old door, discard the plastic crap from the new fuel door and the old fuel door, line it up, drill 2 holes for the front and put the screws in with the fender washers on the back, put the 2 middle screws in with the fender washers on the back and then just put the 2 back screws in for looks because you cant get a washer behind them, at least i couldnt. You'll see what Im talking about once you get the door and start the install. It wasnt that bad. You'll do just fine!

Yep, just like J96Z said. This is a very easy install. The #1 thing you need are those fender washers. Everything else should be included with the new fuel door. You can get those washers at just about any hardware store. Just rip your old door off and you will see how the new one will fit. You will most likely need to do a little sheet metal trimming, but if you have a dremel, it's about 5 minutes of work, if that.

The whole install shouldn't take more than an hour.

Maybe we can find out who wrote the original install guide and get Brent to host it.

I'm not home right now but I *think* I saved that page. If I did, I'll upload it and post the link there. It seems soooo many pages with good info go down these days. Because of this, I've started saving some pages to my hard drive. If/when the pages go down, I'll be able to upload what was there so the info isn't lost forever. Unfortunately, I just decided to do this after seeing about 1/2 the links on my page are dead. Too bad I didn't have this brilliant idea before all the links died
