GM didn't make a SS hood in '95...SLP did, and they wont sell you one unless you already have a damaged one with proof of SS ownership.

SLP/GM make the best SS hood, hell they make the best damn hoods period. Suncoast, Harwood and others are not as good as the factory 96+ SS hoods (note it will fit 93-95 cars too). I've seen other hoods and they don't make it anywhere near the quality, even thought their half the price which is why. You can goto the dealership and order and SS hood, but I believe their $1600!!!!

Nothing beats the OEM SS hood the next best thing is the ASCD SS hoods molded from actual SS hoods (97 SS, and a 98 SS).

I have the ASCD 98-02 SS hood matches right up to the GM SS hood.

For pics see my site.

No one made them in 95'. They made them in 96' when the first SS appeared. Of course they will fit 93-95 also.

Picky, picky, picky!!! SLP still will not sell the '96-'97 design unless you have a damaged one off a real SS...that you own

RK Sport has an SS hood that I've seen on a couple LT1 cars; they look pretty decent. If anything, I would go with ASCD (www.americansportscar.com)

HUM well guys I hate to tell you this SLP does not make the hoods they are made by a company called Suncoast creations & SLP just finishes them up.
Suncoast creations also made the firehawk hoods. THey do sell them to the general public for all years of the 4th gen era.

Well from what Ive heard, all you need to have when you call in is your VIN # off your ss... and if thats all you need, you can go to ebay, look up some SS camaros for sale and most of them have the VIN # in the description

Well Ms. cowgirl, you are living up to your name....."Krazzy"

1- The SCC hood is not even an exact replica.

2- The SCC hood is fiberglass.

3- The SLP hood is a composit.

SCC didn't make the SS hood and I know that for a fact. The hood that looks most similar is the ASCD hood.

Well All I know is a friend of mine who had a 2002 SS camaro his hood was cracked when he bought the car off the lot brand new. He called SLP & they told him to get a hold of the Manufactor of the hood Sun Coast creation because at that time they didnt have any they were out Not only that the would not replace the hood with a minor crack.

Also when My Husband & I went to buy our Firehawk hood we called SLP & they said to call Suncoast creations who Manufactors their hoods. because they do not sell them to ppl who do not own SLP Cars but the Manufactor does sell them.
