What is the most efficient, best looking, and safest way to clean the engine bay for an LT1?

You don't have to do that. Just don't spray any water in the bay. Use rags and wipe things down.

Ive been told you can use a water hose in the bay, just dont aim it at the electricals. The safe bet would be some simple green, WD40, and elbow greese. I have a Dynaspark and they tell us to spray it with a pressure washer. Cant wait to test it out. Mostlikly wont but my engine bay needs a good spraying.

I did mine with engine cold. I used fully concentrated simple green and sprayed everything. Let it soak for a bit(maybe less than 5 min) then I used a water hose with no attachment and let everything wash off with very little water pressure, you'll get the feel for it. I then did not start the car, I let it sit overnight or maybe two days before I started it again. This was about three years ago and I haven't had any problems. Getting ready to do it again to prep for pulling the motor.

Well, im getting ready to do this again to my car, ill pull the Alt. and MAF, plug any holes I don't want water getting into and put a bag around the Opti. Then ill take a 80/20 simple green mix with water and spray everything down. let sit only for a minute or two and then pressure wash everything off. I say pressure wash but really you don't want to get the hose closer then 2ft away from anything. I use the pressure washer just to cover a large area at one time. Makes it go quick.
