the best way is to watch ebay, you might get a deal. i snagged an oem WS6 hood that was a prototype made by the company that built them for GM that was never painted and only needed minor repair to the edges by the windshield due to being stood straight up for several years and a small hole needed filled due to a bad mold which is why it was a prototype. i got it for $307.51

to do the conversion right (ie make it look oem) you need
hood (ebay $307.51)
hood grills ($50 shipped from hawks 3rd gen parts for aftermarket ones, the oem ones are $95 each and look identical and clip in the same way)
WS6 airbox w/ maf to tb bellow (got lucky on mine and got it for $115 shipped w/ a K&N)
MAF extension ($25 from summitt)
blockoff plate for hole where old airbox was ($20.xx at the dealer special order)
AIR hose or extension if you still run AIR. i got a 3/4" heater hose and an extension barb and clamps from autozone for around $6. i don't know what the oem hose costs from GM but you can extend your stock one the few inches that are needed.
then the paint and install which was $730 but that included the roof and headlight doors like i mentioned earlier. so all told i spend approx $1250 less whatever the roof and headlight door portion of the $730 was
here's a pic from under my hood
