Best paint for LT1 Intake manifold?

I did a search hoping to find a tutorial but i got nothing.. So hopefully someone has some experience on this. Im wanting to paint my intake manifold red like the corvette grand sport. I figure it would be much cheaper to do it myself if i clean it up real good, and get some good paint and clear in a rattle can. The question is however, what should i use? I dont want the paint to fade or crack due to heat or anything. Any advice?
Thanks

Duplicor High temp paint works well for just a spray on yourself job. Personally I would look into powdercoating, as the finish is much stronger and will look much better, and really isn't that much money. I spent like $50 on mine.
