Guarenteed they'll give up before finding it as long as they've never driven a f-bod or you dont tell them. Great way to get out of friends drving your car. Just be like you're not even smart enough to reverse the car let alone drive it.

Later
if they simply look at the center console just above the the boot they will see the original diagram and thus will know where reverse is

best looking ***** gotta be IMO

00 cobra R
03 cobra
SLP or hurst

they are all bascially the same style but the cobra R has the 6 speeds engraved in it which is cool. 03 cobra has that plate which is a little cheap IMO but still cool. as for the vette *****. they are bad *** but unfortunately dont fit F-bodies. the **** doesnt have threads in it like ours... it instead clips on somehow.

I ordered an AutoTecnica VT shift ****, black leather & chrome version, off of Ebay along with a short stick from Jarrod Holland.

There are two vendors on Ebay selling this shift ****, Abtiva and CarPartsDiscount. Abtiva rountinely has all the various styles of this **** for $39.99. CarPartsDiscount only had the blue & red versions up for auction, but for a much less starting bid. I emailed CarPartsDiscount directly and got a black & chrome version for $26 plus $6 shipping. It comes with several size screw-in bushings that fit pretty good. This **** sells for up to twice as much from other online vendors.

The Jarrod Holland short stick is of similar design to the Lou's Short Stick, but straight, no bend. Great finish on it, the hardware included and instructions were very good as well. I ordered it on a Tuesday, had it by that Friday. Good vendor. It was available for a buy it now of $20, plus $5 shipping.

I would recommend both of these products. Both were shipped very quickly and are of excellent quality, especially for the price.

My favorite is the Hurst Classic. Thats the one I use, gives the inside of my car that musclecar era kinda look. Its a bright white ****, with the 6 speed "H" pattern engraved in black. It has a really nice feel to it also. I got mine from Summit Racing on their online catalog, I think it was only like $20.

I personally like the Hurst classic *****. I have the black one in my sig, and I just got the white one too. It kinda gives it that classic musclecar look. If you are looking for a pistol grip ****, I just read in the May GMHTP thnat Hurst is coming out with an aluminum one that will fit all types of shifters; that might be one to look out for too. Just my .02
