Badges...

Hello, I'm trying to find some new badges for my 96 WS6 and I want to make it sorta different from the original badges so where is a good place to start looking for for instance... "350" or "LT1"... and a new Trans Am badges with the colors already on it. My car has a black and yellow (bought it that way) and I like it so i'm going to stick with it.

Any help?

Re: Badges...

For about a year I had a pair of '69 Camaro 350 badges above the stock Z28's on the sides of my car. I bought a repro set off ebay for I think $40, used a dremel to cut the posts off and sand them down, and used 3M double sided tape to hold them on. It worked great, stayed on until I decided to take them off. If you go this route, you'll probably need to fill in the backs of then emblems with something to give the tape a good base. I put JB Weld in the corners and center of the emblems and put the tape on that after it hardened.

Re: Badges...

Check out www.ebaymotors.com they have vintage lt1 and 350 emblems for auction sometimes.

If you plan on changing to say a chrome and black scheme www.spinnerpremiumdesigns.com has acrylic mirror "Trans Am" badges

Re: Badges...

Whats the difference between the LS1 and LT1 Trans Am Badges? Its labeled... "98-02" Trans Am badges. If I bought these, would they go on without a problem?

Re: Badges...

If you're refering to the "Trans Am" on the doors, I believe they were the same from 93-02.
