Like I said the fit of the hood is not perfect but overall I'm happy with it

Here you can see where the corner of the hood sticks up a bit. And the color is slightly off, but I guess it's to be expected the rest of the car is 15 years old after all...

I already ordered some red grand sport stripes from afterthoughts auto to keep the grand sport theme. For the wheels I'm thinking either some black ZR1's with polished lip or those new deep dish C5's that are selling on ebay...
What do you guys think will look best?

The stripe looks damn good, I must say. Don't do the GS stripes though. Those are lame on F-bodies. For wheels, I don't know since I haven't seen the deep dish C5 wheels you're talking about. I don't like black wheels though, even with the polished lip, so I personally wouldn't pick those.

I won't tell you not to get the black/polished combo, but it's getting kinda played out. I would consider having the centers white, honestly. Now that's something you don't see every day, and it'll probably look damn good.

Other than a pain to keep clean, I have to agree a white center would look dope !

Looking Good

IMO: I think the Black Wheels would look pretty sharp on the car, and I too would avoid the Grand Stripe idea...

Just some nice new wheels and low profile tires, and off you go with a nice original look

wow... somethin like what i had planned if i go with a cowl hood.... except... i was planing on making the strip go all the way to the back berger panel, and have it kinda curve into the tailights.... kinda hard to explain, i had a photoshop of it somewhere... but cant find it. nonetheless... amazing look.

I've never seen that before.

It looks better than I would have imagined for sure.

Thanks for the comments so far

For the wheels, I'm pretty set on the black/polished edge scheme (although who knows maybe I'll change my mind last second like I did for the paint LOL) but I know what you guys mean white wheels would probably look good - like the 30th anniversary SS style. I've had other ppl tell me I need to get white wheels for my car

Currently also I'm debating wether to order the 18x10.5 rear /17x9.5 front combo for the wheels or just get the 17x9.5 all four...

18x10.5 would probably look sick in the back? But it would cost more for the tire and probably hurt traction in the street. If I got 17x9's in the rear I could at least get a BFG DR for it or something.

get the 10.5 rears, they look dope. I have them with 295's out back.
Once you buy them and put them on you will love them and think how you could of ever lived without them.

rims can make or break a car in my opinion.
