'b' piller color

Ive noticed some camaros, 4th gen have black b pillers vs body color. Why? I know the mirrors were black regardless of body color on say a 94 vs my 97 but whats with the black b pillers on some t-top cars?

Re: 'b' piller color

In late '94 it was an option to have the same color as the car, instead of black...

Re: 'b' piller color

My Piller is red like the car but I like how the black looks on the t-top cars. Might consider changing it just didnt want it to look like a 93 or something (no offense) if it was a first year only production thing.

Re: 'b' piller color

i had mine painted to match my body color
i think if the windows aren't tinted, then black is good
if the windows are tinted (like mine), i prefer body color

Re: 'b' piller color

Black was standard unless you specified body color. I remember when I ordered my '97 that I had to specify body color. I'm not sure if you had a choice on some of the early models.

Personally, I like body color much better, regardless of any other factors.
