the only way they are better is if you get like 100w bulbs to put in. the design is very cheap, and wont hold up to every day use, my seals leaked even when it slightly raining, causing all kinds of problems.

for 65 bucks, i wish i had spent it on the hellas i have now.

Autooptiks are a scam.

The way they are designed, they don't even keep the bulb centered where it needs to be, and they are definately not durable.

Also after paying over $50 just for the housings (not including the bulbs), the instructions expect you to modify the metal headlight surrounds otherwise the autooptiks glass will shatter.

They are garbage.

All that plus - the reflective quality is no better than what is in the stock headlights - you are better off siliconing in some high wattage bulbs. But my main urk was that they didn't fit into the stock mounting housings. :thumbs down:

I decided to order some "cool blue" headlights.
I used to work at pep boys a couple years ago and they were available but I don't know if they still are I should know in a couple days if I can order them or not

Hell I know "cool blue" headlights are cheesy but I'd rather have them to match my corners for now at least I don't have to ghetto rigg the headlights that way BTW Don't waste your time trying to switch the bulbs into stock housing's the light sucks and I had them lined up (almost ) exactly like the stock bulbs were and they hardly lit up the road at all

I don't know why so many people are knocking the AutoOptiks kits. If you buy a quality bulb with real Xenon gas and not an overpriced piece of trash with blue film covering the lens like every bulb sold on their site, you'll see a big improvement. The reflectors in the housings aren't much better than stock, but it's a simple way to allow the use of better bulbs. I haven't had to modify anything to get them to fit the stock mounting frame either. The only thing i had to do was bend the wire on the metal clips that hold the bulb in such a way the bulb stayed tight.

I've had the 4351 kit on my car for almost 2 years now, and haven't had much trouble with it. It is a bit of a pain to get the AutoOptiks housings in the stock mounting frame, but if you take your time and don't beat up them, they go in fine.

Search on ebay for "XD5 9006", or "GP Thunder 9006", if you want to find a quality bulb. I had the XD5 5800K bulbs in my car for almost 2 years before one burned out. I just ordered the GP Thunder 8500K's, and I'm sure they'll look even better.
