Dupont makes this product, we used it in the bowtie/flamed panel we just did to the back of my camaro. It is ridiculously expensive-like dwarfing the cost of the chromalusion paint that was so ugly yet popular a few years back. Even if you wanted to chrome a camaro, it is plastic for the most part, and wouldn't last too long because plating plastic is difficult, and it can't take much punishment.

It's a carbon fiber hood. You can see that the sides of it around the extractor are painted. They just left the extractor in raw carbon. It's probably good for the driver...the glare and reflection off of a chrome hood would have to be blinding. I feel sorry for anybody travelling in front of or behind him on a sunny day.

Carbon Fiber is for weight savings you troll.

JK, I dont think he cares by the size of that spoiler and the stock targa top.
But seriously since when have 4th gen Supra's been considered rice?

Maybe the blind child sign has something to do with staring directly at the supra.

Supras have been considered rice since they are made by Toyota.
I know CF is for weight saving, but seriously... paint it. It's just like fiberglass, you get that for weight saving, but it gets painted.

Thats more of a ricer thing with a carbon fiber hood look. I'm with you though, I would have had the hood to match everything as well.

i think carbon fiber looks great. and a supra is on a much higher plane than rice...it just catches a bad rap because of all the ricers that aspire to have such a machine. the supra is a legend.

You're preeching to the choir to me. Except for the carbon fiber thing. I love Supra's but I still think the carbon fiber looks ricy.

To each his own.

has anyone seen or heard of the LCD paint? put an electrode on the body pannel and the voltage changes the paint color. you can change the color any time you want, and all you have to do is shut off the car, plug the 9-pin connector or usb connector into a laptop, pick a color, and wait a few seconds. it's extremely expensive, i think it was like 10k per gallon of paint, plus you have to have a specialized tech paint it.
