I want to paint my black mirrors and bar that runs behind t tops and in front of back window the same color as the body. Anyone already done this? How much do you think I would be looking at to spend for a job like this? Just wondering.

I've done it but it was with the repaint of the entire car. Prices are going to vary quite a bit. Your best bet is to call a few REPUTABLE shops in your area to get the best idea of what it'll cost you in your neck of the woods

 

Thanks Brent. Do you think they will be willing to estimate over the phone? I was thinking in the neighborhood of 250-300...just a guess. Anyone else done just the bar and mirrors?

Kinda depends on how good of job you want. Some "quickie" type paint shops do their best to paint the mirrors on the car... they can get paint in there "ok" but can't really wet sand and buff too well behind the mirrors I wanted mine done "right" so paid the extra money and had a shop that only does very good work (no quickie jobs) do it and they took the mirrors off. Stuff like that takes more time and you pay for that.

To do the top correctly means removing the weatherstripping and rear window.
