Anyone paint their intake?

I have my intake off and want to paint it, what did you use, prime, clear, type, how did it hold up? Prep? What color would look best on a white 30th? Thanks alot

I've seen alot of painted intakes and only a few have looked really nice IMO. It just seems like after awile you can really tell they were just painted. Why not look into a nice powdercoating for it so it will always look fresh ?

I remember seeing one guy who had his painted like an anodized purple color on his purple pearl camaro. Looked sweet.

would 500 degree paint work or do I need the 1200? 500 comes in chevy orage not the 1200 or should I go white?

500 degree will be fine, I like the orange idea.

500 degree paint is fine. I painted mine black and cleared over it.

Mine's heavily coated and nicely cleared, so hopefully it will look good for awhile.

Here's mine

I decided I'm going to polish the top to match my polished fuel rails. I'll take new pics when that's done. Should look even better.

Obviously, it goes with the current color scheme and I love it.

I also did the alternator, brake lines..etc.. lots more pics in this thread:
