I was thinking of redoing my car next year like that. Gunmetal grey, SS hood and late SS spoiler, black 17x9.5/17x11 grandsport wheels, with a black top, headlight pockets, mirrors and tailpanel. Also the scoop portion will be black. Anyone see anything like it?

I like the way my car is now, but I like this look better, so I'm going to move the parts over to my other '94.

 

My car is a silver-platinum color. It has an ss hood. The part of the hood that leads up into the opening of the scoop is black. My rims are painted black and I have tinted windows. The whole black/platinum color sceme looks real nice. I think your idea will look good.

I see the pic that car in the avatar...I was thinking a really dark shade of gunmetal, with maybe just a small amount of dark metallic flake. Something like the shade they use on the Vipers. I think it would look badass with a blacked out set of wheels, tailpanel, mirrors, headlights and top. Just trying to find a pic...

I've also been considering keeping my current setup with my C5 wheels and the SS spoiler and 2" cowl hood using the same paint theme. Right now the car is black with a silver tailpanel and black inserts using silver C5 wheels, I'm just trying to make up my mind since I'm approaching the last phase of mods, body work.

 

I sent you an email of a picture of what my car generally looks like.
Also I think that a light/dark contrasting combo would look good. If you make the grey too dark, it may not look good in my opinion.
