It looks race modifed, but I've never seen another Camaro race car that looked anything like this one. I found it in my archive of pics I have collected over the years. I just burned them to a CD and had to go through them. Anyone have any info or any other pics of this bad boy? I'm really interested in that strange hood.

Hmm, they don't seem to have anything as hardcore as this custom Camaro. I'm not thinking they did this one.

 

It is an SCCA car.
There was a thread dedicated to these kinds of cars a while back - might want to try searching for it somehow. I think pu12en12g posted it.

Those guys have a lot of custom work done though. There were several pics of cars like that and I think even that one posted though.

 

I tracked down the source of the pic to a cardomain show your ride type site and it seems like that car may actually be a race car in Japan.

the motor? Who cares about it, they all look alike (just pretend). I want to know how to get a hold of one of those wild hoods!... and an extra Camaro for it to go on .

I researched the car a few days ago, I believe it has a 6.0L LS1. I don't know much about engines, but seems to me they just increased the displacement of the LS1 by adding larger parts

 

And the title under the picture is "Chevrolet Camaro GT"...that's something none of us thought we'd ever hear. It's as weird as saying "Mustang SS"
