Wait until you hit a puddle in heavy rain at 70mph with around 50% tread remaining on Nitto's
I rarely drive my car in the rain anymore since I have another car as a daily driver but I got caught in a heavy rain driving on the PA tpke on a trip last month with my Nitto's. They are ok in light rain but I hit some puddles in heavy rain at 65-70 and they hydroplaned real bad. I did not feel safe with them at all, I pulled over for a while until the rain let up. These tires have so little tread depth on them that they will not disperse water the way normal tires do. Now on dry roads they hook up like no other tire I've used and they are excellent at the track.
For a daily driver and having to drive in rain though I would not run these tires, you are asking for trouble. Just my $.02.

My friend has some Nittos on his stang and he said they're just fine. He has put about 8500 miles on the tires too. He also said, that if you hit a larger puddle they may hydroplane a little bit, but even my normal radials do that.
