Are those covers or do they replace the rubber pads?

Covers, I believe. They do require drilling.

I think all brands replace the rubber pads. I'm pretty sure that these particular one's just sit on top and drill on.

For the best fit and finish in pedals, I have to highly recommend MBAs pedals. They look and fit awesome. A little pricey, but you can't beat the quality. Thunder Racing has the best pricing for them, as far as I know.

Click Here for a Pic of them installed on my car...

Yea, I know all about MBA, but I did not want to spend that much on pedal covers & I wanted ones that had Z28 engraved on em

I'm curious about these pedals from SRP as well. They look REALLY good. For me, I prefer the look of a pedal like this over the MBA ones. I dunno know what it is...maybe it's the swiss cheese effect. For some reason, to me, the MBA ones just like like big solid blocks of metal down there...but who knows...maybe they'll grow on me.

I heard these were really good. About the slipping, someone I know has these, and they said that the finish is actually rough to the point it wouldn't be good to drive bare-footed (as though it ever is). Are youy sure you had a set of these exact pedal covers?

I assume your friend removed the stock rubber pads then installed these?

I have these on my SS and like them a lot. The rubber pads are removed before drilling the metal so the screws go thru the stock metal part. The cheap pedals like you would get from Pep Boys generally clamp in place these have screws thru the stock metal so I don't think they are very likely to come loose.

I've never had any trouble with them being slippery either. They are machined with sharp edges and bite into your shoes a bit for good traction.

Makes doing hell toe downshifts much easier too.
