anyone ever have their blackouts stolen?

i was thinking trailblazer style blackouts on my black z28 would look good, but i live next to a college campus and spend most of my time on the college campus and don't want to spend the cash if they're just going to get stolen. anyone ever walk out to their car and discover they're gone? is there any way to prevent them from being ripped off?

i have (or had) wade front blackouts...nobody ever stole them, but somebody backed into me when i was at work and i went out to my car and found them laying on the ground. i've been going 105 and mine didn't come off. doesn't anybody know if you can buy JUST the brackets, or do i have to buy the entire blackouts again?

My Right rear one just disappeared once.... It was odd. I left my camaro at home and took the beater to work. When I got home, I noticed it was gone. It wasn't a windy day, or laying close the car - just gone.

Though I did have my front ones on when I went to the track. They stayed on the car during a 110mph run.

i had a set of mine stolen (all four)back when i was in highschool, right in front of the school , then when i got my second set of front ones (never got more back ones) i drilled holes in them (the part that goes under the hood) and used some wire and latches to hold them attached to the car. but then a few days ago while driving to a car club meeting one flew off, and another member behind me ran it over, oh well, im done with them now, they arent worth the trouble

When I was at Oklahoma State I had 2 pair stolen in one semester off of my 95 v6. I also lost one on the highway, and lost another one in a car wash. It was okay back when they only cost $30 a pair, but now they cost twice that.

blackouts

never had them stolen (knock on wood). But you think they could design the front ones better so those sort of things wouldnt happen. As for the back ones on my camaro no one can steal them because part of it goes underneath the trunk, unless you break it. But i might be wrong on that.
