I've got a Purple pearl '93 Z that's getting ready to go in the paint shop. While it's being repainted, I'm going to have 30th anniversary STYLE stripes painted on the hood and deck lid...In '97-'98 Camaro bright purple.
Does anyone have pictures of their bright purple '97 or '98? My painter wants to see exactly what color I want the stripes before we buy the paint.

You are in luck! I absolutely love that color, though I have only seen ONE car painted with it in person. Every once in a while if I come across a decent pic of one on the net, I save it. Here ya go!

The Chevy's RPO code for that color (according to this site) is 88U. Maybe that might help your painter in tracking down the right color.

God I love that color. I'm repainting my black 93 with that color next spring.

 

Actually if someone could find the correct WA# from the RPO sticker (on the bottom of it) it would help a lot more. The WA# is more color specific, while the color #'s (88U) actually get recycled by GM. Certain color #'s could potentially correspond to 4 or 5 different colors, GM was bad about this.
