I have a rally red z with black glossy vinyl stripes on it. On the highway one day I guess something hit one of the ones on the hood and now theres a horrible smudge looking mark on it. What can I do? Also a lot of swirl marks on my stripes. Anyone have any upkeep ideas on these things? Thanks.

 

I'd have to say the stripe with the "smudge" is probably shot. As a last ditch effort you might be able to take a heat gun/hair dryer and lightly heat the area up and try to smooth out the smudge. Might make it worse though so be careful!

As for the swirl marks... that's pretty unusual. You should be able to wax them though just like the rest of your car. That should make them look good again.
