Anybody else like looking stock?
I am somewhat old fashioned when it comes to camaros. Most camaros I prefer a totally stock look (and with first and early second gens, I will not entertain anything but oem).
I have discovered recently, that you can still have fun while looking stock or relatively stock. You can try a few tricks like polishing all or parts of your wheels, different wheel styles (but still maintaining a factory appearance, such as a 4th gen ls1 z28 with z06 or zr1 ss wheels; I love it when people do this mod well), and body components designed as oem pieces or factory like parts.
If I had another car such as something more generic in appearance and character, like a Toyota Solara or an Accord, then I would definitely entertain some exterior mod tricks to make things interesting. However, for me, a significant reason for me buying a new SS (well, at the time) was to have a car that looks like a real SS, and to experience the joys of having a brand new v8 automobile. I enjoy very much the newness and the integrity of the factory machine, so I enhanced my car with pieces that were designed as oem parts for the camaro, so as not to disturb the new car quality and feel.
The bottom line is, you should have fun with your car whether you choose to stay stock or not. Just remember the boundaries and exploit them as you see fit.

If the car looks good out of the box, then stock works fine for me. If someone wants to change the looks...that's fine too (though erector set spoilers on F-bodies look awful to me). I wish everyone would change their F-bodies and them mine will stand out even more.
I'll stay stock. Here's Why:
1. As the years go by, the completely stock cars will be worth MUCH more then the modified ones.
2. Much less problems to deal with
3. If it didn't look good I would never have bought it in the first place.
4. Its already fast enough to take on just about anything from stop light to stop light
'Nuff said?

Magman: Well said!
My 91 Talon TSi AWD begs to be modded, but by keeping it basically stock (not since the day I bought it in 1990, have I been disappointed in its performance), it has been very dependable for 14 years. And it still looks great and is plenty fast enough to have fun in.
I don't know how fast somebody "needs " to go, but I find my Z-28 to be up to the task at any stoplight. My only problem is that the darn speed limit comes up way to fast when my foot is hammered to the "go" pedal.
I do understand the need by some to make a car "yours" by adding something or changing something though.

I prefer some mods but suttle ones...
All I really have planned left for my car is clear corners, and 93-96 tail lights. I don't really like amber with NBM. I also like 93-96 tailights better they follow the lines fo the car better.
Other then that I might do a red decal insert in the front grill....
I have really considered an black billet, grill. Just because those jsut look better on f-bodies and its kind of a heritage thing.
Even though my car is stock, I still think it looks slightly different then the average v6 f-body on th road, but it won't win any prizes for anything.

I had a 94 z though and I had to put ground effects on it. Improved the looks 100 percent.

I just like the real clean street car look, I took off my side moldings and red badges, may get some silver ones. I just like the real clean and simple look, nothing bling bling, just simple. I really respect the guys that build street rods, thats were I get my tastes from. I guess I really have a love for some of the stuff I see getting built. Good clean paint jobs, nice wheels and the right stance. Body kits, stereo systems and all that stuff doesnt really apeal to me.

Mine could be a v-6 for all anyone knows. Black97 Z28. No badges on the car Foglights are gone and replaced with the Gm grills. The only eye catcher is the stock chrome plated (from the factory) 5 star rims. But most people think there the "SS" rims so i guess my "sleeper" effect is kinda gone.
other than rims i dont like outside modifications on camaros. Body kits HORRIBLE! Clear tails/wings DISGRACE.
